The Federal university , Ndufu alike ikwo male hostel porter in charge of one of the Blocks has confess that He firmed up some of the awards that was given in late June 2014 due to his likeness for some of the students but who did not actually fit the position for award awarded to them.
The Funai student awards that was held on Saturday the 28th of june 2014 was an award Which Funai management set aside to award students behavioral act , self discipline as well as life style , talents , firm , and other social talents. The assignment of filling the spot of the award was given to the porters who stay with the students to monitor their everyday move (in and out) .
After the award afternoon there were frowns on some funaits faces as they thought they would win at least one or two endowment. One of FFN reporters interviewed a funait on that very day 28/june/2014. A student from pol science department who expressed his discontentment and disfavour on that day he stated - "well funai funai funai ... I never knew funai could be so political in the award given , I waited for this kind of day because I strongly believed and was confident that I will be awarded for something , if not my dressing,my greetings to the porters morning afternoon and night , my swags or even my respectfulness ,but I seated confidently preparing to stand up when I finally hear my name but I was disappointed by my thoughts. Am not vexed at all that I wasn't given award but while my vexation is increasing as am talking to you is that most of the people awarded do not really worth it ". - A funait spoke bitterly.
After looking at most people comments saying funai students awards was inequity , FFN decided to approach a porter to interview him on the matter and the porter told our reporters that " since that very day, the spirit of some students has been disturbing me , I substituted some names due to my greed regardless to what the student that really worth it felt (may be the pol sci guy was substituted by this man who knows) , I've been looking forward to meeting students who I exchanged their names to apologize but the long funai holiday is prolonging my apology to them , I still get beaten at night in my dreams by one student in micro biology (undisclosed name) who was suppose to get an award and many more ". The Porter stated .
He also stated that greeting him morning, afternoon and night would not fetch anyone accolade but rather decrease your chances of getting any if that's really what you are pursing, its all about being yourself he stated.
